I will be going on vacation to the Virgin Islands with my wife and two friends tomorrow and realized that besides the hurricane potential taking vacations at the end of summer seems like the only way to do it. Why would you take a vacation any other time? Most people tend to take their vacations in June and July with July being the most popular. I am a full supporter of end of summer vacations mainly because the end of summer is a depressing time, but if you have a vacation to look foward to then there is nothing to worry about. Other good reasons include, cheap airfare and hotels (we are going to St. John, USVI for 4 days, 3 nights for $550 each, that includes airfare and hotel), the weather is still great, and it’s not usually as crowded. Summer is fun enough, it’s when Labor day comes around and you realize you already took your vacation that you start to feel like crap.
This is just a recommendation…take it or leave it.
